It’s proven – time and time again – dogs and humans have an undeniable bond. One woman recently carried a badly injured dog down a mountain in a frantic effort to save his life. On Friday, October 18th, Andi Davis had been hiking along an isolated mountain trail in Phoenix, Arizona when she saw an injured dog, collapsed against a rock. She rushed over to the male dog, gave him a drink and lifted his 47-pound body into her arms and then walked back down the mountain.

It took Davis about an hour to reach the bottom, which is where her husband and daughter were waiting to take the badly injured dog to the humane society.
After veterinarians worked to save the pooch’s life, the Davis family went to see him, giving him the name of Elijah. They have since taken him home to serve as his foster family.
